• Maniyah Figuroa

    Maniyah Figuroa is a multi-faceted creative, advocate, and young professional. Originally from Camden, NJ, she has over a decade of experience in community service, social justice, and education. She earned her B.A. in Speech Pathology and Africana Studies with a minor in Women & Gender Studies from Rutgers University. During her undergraduate years she discovered a passion for creating safe spaces for Black and Brown queers to thrive, with her participation and leadership in various student organizations. Now she navigates the working world by aligning herself with opportunities that fulfill. Whether that's working with kids, volunteering at art centers, or using her musical talents to inspire others. She plans to leave a legacy in life not with one specific career path, but with an overall goal to live her life to the fullest, while helping as many people as she can along the way.
