Black LGBT(Q)+ Caucus

  • The BQC is a group of Black LGBTQ+ people who work together to plan and host community events. The BQC represents a cross-section of communities and interest areas within the Black LGBTQ+ community. We directly invest in Black LGBTQ+ people through our programming, designed by and for Black LGBTQ+ people, including large-scale events, all of which are free.


    We also offer regular opportunities for Black LGBTQ+ people to meet virtually and in person through our monthly open meetings and quarterly in-person gatherings. In addition to our monthly events, we have ongoing programming like our Black Wellness Tribe, which offers free weekly transformative wellness classes centering Black LGBTQ+ folks. This unique opportunity provides a holistic approach to well-being, combining strength training, endurance training, and functional/mobility exercises.

  • The BQC is open to those who identify as both Black and LGBTQ+.

    • Build community, connect, and network with a diverse range of other Black LGBTQ+ folks 

    • Get training, political education, and experience you can put on your resume

    • Help be a catalyst for change for the next generation of Black LGBTQ+ folks
