Ways to Get Involved

  • STAY IN TOUCH

    We host monthly programming, promote Black LGBTQ+ events hosted by community members, and share progress on our social justice initiatives like the Black Queer Equity Index. To make sure you never miss an update, sign up for our emails and follow us on social media.

  • DONATE

    The donations we receive go directly toward providing Black LGBTQ+ Chicagoans with a thriving wage, furthering our social justice work, and facilitating our programming. Your contributions help improve the lives of the thousands of individuals we serve each year.

  • ATTEND EVENTS

    Our Black Queer Caucus plans and hosts free monthly programming open to Black LGBTQ+ Chicagoans. Attend one of our upcoming events to meet people, experience something new, and have a great time!

  • VOLUNTEER

    Go beyond simply attending events and help make them happen. Whether you’re setting things up, taking them down, running stations, or managing check-in, extra hands are always welcome. Sign up for our volunteer email list and be part of the crew.

  • BLACK LGBT(Q)+ CAUCUS

    The BQC is a group of Black LGBTQ+ people who build community through programming. The BQC brings together Black LGBTQ+ and BIPOC folk to build community, gives opportunity to join work of community building. and allows you to leave your thumbprint on the shape and form of Black LGBTQ+ Chicagoland.

  • CARE

    Lighthouse Foundation’s CARE (Coalition of Accomplices for Racial Equity) is a coalition of accomplices and Black LGBTQ+ people who support Black Queer liberation. CARE inspires participants to be active in the work of Black LGBTQ+ liberation, collaborates on the BQEI, and celebrates the work of Black LGBTQ+ people.
