Allen A. Womble’s, Ph.D., research focuses on centering the voices of people with historically marginalized identities in policy, theory creation, and practice.

A critical part of the Lighthouse Foundation Executive team, he analyzes the Black Queer Equity Index, supervises the Black LGBTQ+ Caucus, and offers strategic advice to shape programmatic development. Allen also serves as the Director of High Impact Student Engagement at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Outside of work, he serves as part of the Chicago Black Gay Men’s Caucus Board of Directors, Lighthouse Church of Chicago UCC, and the Inclusive Collective.
